Is project management a distinct and universal field of knowledge, or is it just a specialization within other areas? This question has been a source of heated debates for years now, and comes down to whether a qualified project manager will cope in any industry, even without industry experience, or vice versa - whether a qualified industry expert will be able to manage a project without education in management.
At Centrum Lokalizacji CM we believe that the truth lies in the middle. In the translation and localization industry project management requires a good understanding of the translator’s workshop, but at the same time many activities can be carried out if a person knows the general principles of managing a project. That is why among our project managers there are not only those who earlier on worked as translators, but also those who familiarize with the translation industry in our company.
We believe that due to such a “hybrid” approach we are able to provide project management students the knowledge that can be used not only in this industry but also in any other. Anyone willing to test and broaden their practical knowledge in the field of project management is welcome to participate in the internship program at our company. It is intended for students and young graduates who see their future in the localization and translation, as well as those who plan to work as project managers in other industries.
As the base of our clients is still expanding, CM offers internships in the field of sales and marketing.
